Hello! I'm Mr. Suhaib Mustafa, founder of CPTRU. With over 30 years of experience as a university lecturer and business consultant, I understand the power of opportunity and the importance of building a stable future for yourself and your family.

In 1994, I left Iraq seeking a better life and spent 10 years teaching mathematics in Jordan and Oman. In 2004, I immigrated to Canada as a skilled worker to secure a brighter future for my family. That transformative journey inspired me to establish CPTRU in 2012, to help others unlock the same possibilities.

CPTRU's Role in Your Journey

  1. Recruitment Services: CPTRU sources and recruits qualified Physicians from around the world, ensuring they meet the criteria needed to practice in Canada. We understand the qualifications necessary for success in the Canadian healthcare system and take care to match candidates with the right employers.
  2. Professional Services: We guide you through all necessary steps to secure a licensed medical position in Canada:
    • Choose the right region to relocate and get licensed.
    • Access required exams and certification, including English proficiency.
    • Receive job interview counseling and participate in mock interviews.
    • Tailored job listings and resources, including custom resumes and cover letters.
  3. Landing Support: Upon arrival, CPTRU provides personalized support to help you settle in Canada, including:
    • Airport pick-up and transportation to your accommodation.
    • A “Welcome to Canada” dinner for you and your guests.
    • Assistance with obtaining essential documents like your work permit, Social Insurance Number (SIN), provincial health insurance, and more.
    • A tour of your new community to familiarize yourself with local amenities.
  4. Licensing Support: We assign a dedicated Case Worker who will guide you through the licensing process in your chosen province:
    • Weekly check-ins to resolve any issues.
    • Liaison with provincial regulators to ensure you’re on track to receive your medical license.
  5. Immigration Support: CPTRU works alongside a Registered Immigration Consultant (RCIC) to assist with visa applications for foreign workers. Our RCIC ensures all immigration processes are handled professionally, helping you navigate the complexities of obtaining the appropriate work permits and residency status in Canada.

Qualifications & Licensing Requirements:

  1. Language Proficiency: If English or French is not your first language, you must provide proof of English proficiency through one of the following:
    • IELTS Academic: Minimum score of 7.0 in each component, completed within the last 24 months.
    • OET Medicine: Minimum grade B in each component, completed within the last 24 months.
    • CELPIP General Exam: Minimum grade B in each component, completed within the last 24 months.
  2. Licensing Requirements: Candidates must:
    • Pass the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination(MCCQE) Part 1: Or submit equivalent credentials or a full set of US USMLE.
    • Demonstrate at least 1 year of independent practice: Or participation in a continuous postgraduate training program within the last 3 years (e.g., Family Medicine).
  3. Postgraduate Training For Family Medicine: candidates must complete at least 24 months of continuous, universally affiliated program that includes:
    • 4 months:Community-based primary care.
    • 8 weeks each: Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Surgery, and Internal Medicine.
    • Complete criminal background checks: And patient relations training as per CPSA guidelines.
